Onsite Breakthrough

Onsite Breakthrough is the perfect platform to present the program. Meeting together, in a hotel or in a building gives that extra relational edge over Online. Breakfast conversations in the morning, chatting through challenges during the evening meal, or simply getting to "hang out" together, is invaluable. Relationships between leaders that attended a conference together ofter remain good friends and champions of each other.

"I fully endorse this excellent course by Mike Robins. He has 'earned the right to speak' on this subject by the transformation of the church that he pastors in terms of culture and growth. He is an able communicator who seeks to inspire others to achieve the level of excellence that he seeks to espouse. I wholeheartedly recommend both him and his course to you" (John Glass, retired General Superintendent, Elim Churches)

“The Breakthrough course has been greatly appreciated by many Elim Pastors. It has helped them more clearly define the vision of their church and provided ideas and strategies to move forward. I am very excited to see the effect this will have on the churches in the future. I commend it to you.” (Steve Ball, NLT member and Elim Regional Leader Wales and Southern England)

“Mike Robins is an outstanding leader who has been on an amazing leadership journey that resulted in Newquay Christian Centre, a respected, influential, and growing church. Elim encourages all its Pastors to develop a personal life-long learning path. Mike has distilled key principles and wisdom insights into his Breakthrough program. I wholeheartedly recommend it to you. If you love the church and have a longing to develop your leadership skills, ‘Breakthrough’ is for you! (Nigel Tween - Ex Principle Regents Bible College and Current Consultant Pastor Luton Christian Fellowship)

The UK needs all the help that it can get, and today there are various seminars and conferences that can help Christian leaders reach new levels. Mike Robins leads The Breakthrough concept that teaches a "how-to" approach to leadership. I can unreservedly recommend Mike and his Breakthrough Conference to the UK Church. Mike leads a thriving Elim Church in Newquay - which has "broken through" - therefore he has earned the right to speak and the right to teach (Geoff Feasey, retired Regional Superintendent, Elim Churches)

Mike has earned the “right to speak” on this subject by the transformation of the church that he pastors in terms of culture and growth (David Shearman, retired Senior Minister, The Christian Centre, Nottingham) Attendees from previous Conferences - It was a privilege for me to participate and was really encouraged by the ministry I received as well as the fellowship with Elim ministers I had not had the opportunity to get to know before then. The prophetic words that were spoken over us were very special and have been influential in my personal life and my ministry. Because of the situation in Nuneaton over the past year, much of our plans for outreach into the community have been 'put on hold'. However, Jan and I believe we are in a position to make a comeback in this town. In pastoring a Comeback Church, I have been working to revitalize our fellowship. Having learned about four key factors that can help us in this process at the Breakthrough Conference has been one invaluable benefit I derived from this gathering. May the Lord continue to use you to inspire and direct those of us called to minister to others in His kingdom. (Pastor David Evaniew, Nuneaton)

"Definitely hit the spot. By far, the best conference I have been to, mainly because of its specific and personal nature. Ideal for church leaders in a small church set up, where, for whatever reason, you are struggling with vision or seeing a way forward" (Pastor Graham Jarrett, Lostwtihiel)

A great conference in excellent surroundings stirring body soul and spirit! The small number of delegates on this course led to a very meaningful time. The conference was particularly designed towards those in a smaller church environment and stirred faith to step up to the next level. (Pastor Rupert Clark-Lewis, Llandrindod)

The Breakthrough conference for me was fantastic! First, I realised that I was not on my own, but others were & had been through the same & a lot more difficult times than myself. Secondly, the material was great to follow, and you wanted to be a part of it. I still refer to the notes today, some time on. Go for it; it helps you see where you are! (Pastor John Berriman, St Ives)

"Breakthrough is something many church ministers long & pray for, I did & God graciously encouraged Mike & Nigel to invite me on this program. Whilst on it, I discovered tangible principles that I could adopt back home immediately & they work and are still working; perhaps not exactly as in Newquay, or as yet to the same extent - but God has definitely started responding to the principles we have adopted & we expectantly await the harvest." (Pastor Tim Coles, Ludlow)

The breakthrough conference was undoubtedly the highlight of the year for me. I had read about the importance of vision and had a vision statement – but it was not a living document. The conference helped me understand the process by which we hear from God for our own unique situation. After those few days away, I began the process of seeking God for Aberdeen using the principles I had learned about, culminating in a week of prayer and fasting with the whole church. We built a 10-foot-high cross, put a crown of thorns on the top, and set it in the middle of our hall – the chairs in a circle round it. For that week, the church gathered around the cross, and we waited on God, and we filled a notebook with pictures and prophetic words that He gave us. ‘On the last and greatest day of the feast,’ we were praying and worshipping to midnight. The presence of God was so heavy. A man came in from the street. He had had a drink but wasn’t drunk. He said something like, ‘What’s happening here? I’ve never felt anything like this before. This place is magic!’ It was! Following the conference, we had identified Aberdeen’s unique vision – and as the book says, we wrote it down so we could run with it. It was definitely of spiritual significance that immediately after the week of prayer and fasting, we had to deal with the unity issue, but as 2008 has progressed, we have increasingly been setting goals aligned to that vision. Specifically, we have been addressing the areas of evangelism and leadership. The vision is our destination, and it increasingly is becoming a living word for us. I’ve been in ministry long enough to know that, outside of God’s sovereign intervention in revival, there are no quick fixes. Ministry is a marathon and not a sprint, and the changes required in mindsets take time – but slowly, we are seeing those paradigms changing. We are expectant, and the presence of God is powerful and real. We know now the ‘well we have to dig’ and more and more people are beginning to pick up their shovels. For me, what happened in Newquay was instrumental in this journey. (Pastor Mark Stone, Aberdeen)

I really thought the Breakthrough Conference was brilliant. As a church, we have taken some ideas and used them immediately – such as the week of prayer. We now do this annually, and it has proven to be fantastic with many prophetic words and a freshness being released in the church. Some of the other material we are still working through. I have shared the six topics briefly with the leaders, and we recognised that we needed to give these things time to work on rather than just looking for a get big-quick scheme. But I honestly cannot think of another conference where two years later, I am still working through the implications of what was shared. Thanks again for your input and encouragement. Rev. Keith Jackson BA (Hons), MTh. (Eastbourne)

"Mike Robins is a visionary pastor, church builder, entrepreneur, encourager and anointed leader who demonstrates an apostolic concern for the churches in the South West of the UK and beyond. He is also a faithful supporter of those of us who struggle. My long battle with the most painful disease known to man, whilst trying to serve God and lead churches, was made so much more tolerable by Mike's compassion, phone calls and the support of his intercessory team. In particular, I attended his Breakthrough Conference and was so impressed with the practical, inspirational and challenging teaching he provided for us. The NCC story is an amazing one of restoration, renewal and even a touch of revival, wisely guided and led by Mike and Shelagh Robins. A remarkable couple with a remarkable calling. I recommend their ministry without reservation." Rev. Dr Eric Gaudion MTh PhD, author of 4 books, (Trust: Enduring Hope, Braving the Storm, Storm Force & Storming Home) missionary in Seychelles and Zimbabwe, one time Senior Pastor at City Temple Cardiff (now City Church) and churches in Guernsey.
